Why did I become an esthetician? Vanity! Yes, it was all about me. OK, let’s be honest here, who looks into their mirror and says: Oh yes! Another wrinkle!! Love it! Well, truthfully no one I know! As a teenager, I was obsessed with makeup. I couldn’t be more fascinated with the colors, brushes, tweezers, and of course my eyelash curler! From makeup, skin care became my obsession! Creams, lotions, and potions, oh I couldn’t get enough. Then I discovered the makeup counters in the department stores. I became consumed. And somehow my friends and family started asking me questions about makeup and skin care. So yes, it started out all about me, until it became all about others.

I moved to Virginia in 2007, took a job transfer, and began a new chapter of my life. It was exhilarating! But eventually, the job became boring. Now was my time to make another change and pursue my dream. After 1200 hours of education, I became a licensed Master Esthetician. The more I learn about skin, the more I want to learn about skin. I have taken many classes designed to improve my skills to elevate the client experience and the outcome of the treatments. I can’t see myself not taking classes. When I am not helping my clients attain their skin care and beauty goals, I have some hobbies and interests that I enjoy. I craft with my granddaughters. I crochet and color Mandala. I adore SyFy. I love cuddling with my 2 tuxedo cats.
